SDC 2021 Teams preparing for Finale

Despite the challenges of restrictions around the pandemic, our student teams have been working on sustainable solutions to the Global Goals. They have been researching, meeting with mentors, calling on experts, building community partnerships, collaborating and preparing to share their projects with the public on Feb. 24th at our Finale Event. The spirit, tenacity and creativity of our youth is alive and well and soon the public will be able to share in their solutions that range from; building school composting programs ( Goals #12 @ 13) , ending animal dissections in school science (Goal #15) and encouraging peer inclusion and communication through student podcasts. (Goal #3) We will be challenged to use low tech solutions like “bottle bricks” to address plastic consumption (Goal #12) and come together as a community to build “green”. Our top Arts for Social Change and Plan B Video student entries will be featured at the finale and you can see and comment on their work at the RCA from Feb. 1-24th at their free exhibit.

Now more than ever we need creative solutions from our youth to ensure a just and sustainable future for everyone. Please engage on our social media platforms and watch for our virtual link of the finale.
